I am delighted to introduce myself and share some exciting news. My name is Jenny Fischer. I will be your dedicated clinical art therapist/therapist/ school counselor for the 2026-27 academic year through Saint Louis Counseling’s School Partnership Program (SPP), a service of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. I have five children (three girls and two boys) aged 22 to 10 years old. Most attended Assumption BVM but half are part of the Fort Zumwalt school district in O’Fallon, MO. I will be on-site here once a week on Friday, ready to support our students' emotional and mental health needs throughout the year.
With my master’s degree background in art therapy and counseling, I have been trained as an art therapist and counselor but include other modalities or talk therapy when it is preferred. Art therapy can be used as a visual language when it is hard to find words. I have experience in a variety of settings. In 2023, I completed my practicum in St. Louis Counseling’s SPP program at Our Lady of Lourdes in Washington, MO. In January I became a full-time therapist in the program, helping grades K-8 at Immaculate Conception Dardenne School.
In my experience working at an eating disorder center in residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for adolescents and adults, I held art therapy individual and group sessions and facilitated other themed groups (mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), social skills, life transition skills, etc.). At a group private practice, I worked with other therapists to facilitate art and play therapy IOP groups and ran two social skill and emotional regulation groups for those with ADHD and autism for elementary-aged children. I have dedicated my career to working with children and adolescents, helping them overcome challenges and thrive in their school environment. My passion lies in supporting students as they grow and develop, and I am committed to ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

We will support your child’s well-being and ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed.
