Welcome to the organization these students have been proudly adding to their résumés since 1929! There is only one National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), and it provides an outstanding opportunity to grow with academically accomplished peers who are sharpening the habits needed for success in high school and beyond.
When the National Junior Honor Society was founded in 1929, the hope of the National Association of Secondary Principals was to create an organization that would recognize and encourage academic achievement among middle school level students while also developing other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. These ideals of scholarship, character, service, citizenship, and leadership remain as relevant today as they were back then.
Now, over ninety years later, the National Junior Honor Society has become a prestigious organization, ranking high among administrators, faculty members, students, parents, and residents of the school community. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment on the part of everyone involved.
All Saints School is committed to the mission of the NJHS. Seventh and eighth grade students are considered for induction into the organization every year. Through NJHS chapter service activities, members maintain and extend qualities that won them selection. Membership is thus both an honor and a commitment.
