At All Saints Catholic School, faith is more than a subject we teach. It is at the heart of who we are.
Our goal is to help every student know Jesus Christ, understand the Catholic faith, grow in prayer, and discover the joy of living as His disciple. From the quiet wonder of our youngest children in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium to the deeper study of Scripture in our middle school classrooms, students are invited into a lifelong relationship with Christ and His Church.
Working in partnership with parents, we bring classroom learning, Sacred Scripture, prayer, sacramental preparation, and the life of our parish together into one purpose: helping our children become the saints God is calling them to be.
The Augustine Institute’s Word of Life serves as our primary religion curriculum in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Through age-appropriate lessons centered on Jesus Christ, students grow in their understanding of Scripture, the sacraments, Catholic teaching, prayer, and the moral life.
Each grade follows a coordinated plan that connects these lessons with additional Scripture resources, the liturgical year, the lives of the saints, Theology of the Body, and opportunities for prayer and worship.
These are not separate programs competing for classroom time. They work together to help students understand what the Church teaches, why it matters, and how to live their faith each day.
We want our students to recognize the Bible as more than a collection of individual stories. Sacred Scripture reveals the unfolding story of God’s love and His saving work, fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Our younger students use The Story of All Stories: A Story Bible for Young Catholics as their principal Scripture companion. Through reading, storytelling, discussion, and connections to the classroom Bible, children begin to understand how the people and events of Scripture belong to one great story of salvation.
As students grow, they learn to connect these biblical accounts with the life of Jesus, the Church’s worship, and their own lives.
Our middle school students use The Great Adventure Catholic Bible, Second Edition alongside Encounter: The Bible Timeline for Middle School.
Students learn to navigate the Bible, locate passages, understand the timeline of salvation history, and recognize connections between the Old and New Testaments. Just as importantly, they learn to approach Scripture prayerfully—listening for God’s voice and considering how His Word calls them to respond.
Our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium offers our youngest students a peaceful, specially prepared environment for encountering Jesus.
Through Scripture, prayer, silence, and carefully designed hands-on materials, children explore the life of Christ and the prayer and worship of the Church. Small-group visits allow time to slow down, listen, wonder, and respond.
The Atrium complements classroom religion instruction by nurturing something that cannot be reduced to a worksheet or memorized answer: a child’s growing relationship with God.

Our parish Adoration Chapel gives students regular opportunities to spend intentional time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
These age-appropriate visits may include a short Scripture passage, quiet prayer, thanksgiving, intercession for others, or a simple invitation to speak to Jesus from the heart.
Adoration is not another academic assignment. It is an opportunity to be still, recognize Christ’s presence, and learn that prayer is a relationship. We hope these experiences help students develop a love for the Eucharist that continues long after their years at All Saints.
Our church is a place of worship—and a place where the Catholic faith can be seen, explored, and understood.
Through Explore Our Church, a monthly part of our religion curriculum, students discover the meaning behind All Saints’ sacred art, stained glass, statues, architecture, liturgical furnishings, sacramentals, devotional traditions, and parish history.
Brief lessons, photographs, stories, activities, and visits to the church connect what students learn in the classroom with what they encounter at Mass.
We want our children to understand not only what they see in a Catholic church, but why it is there and how it directs our hearts toward God.
Classroom instruction is connected to the lived experience of being Catholic. Daily prayer, school Masses, opportunities for Reconciliation, and seasonal devotions help students participate in the Church’s life throughout the year.
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in second grade and Confirmation in eighth grade is part of this broader formation. These sacraments are not simply milestones to complete, but encounters with Christ that call students into deeper communion with Him and His Church.
Through the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter, students learn to enter the rhythm of the Church’s liturgical year with understanding and devotion.

Age-appropriate formation in Catholic moral teaching and Theology of the Body helps students understand their God-given dignity and the dignity of every human person.
Students are encouraged to grow in virtue, form their consciences, respect others, and learn to love as Christ loves. The lives of the saints offer concrete examples of what faithful discipleship looks like. These themes are integrated into our coordinated religion curriculum.
Prayer for vocations and opportunities to learn about different callings within the Church also help students begin asking an important question: How is God calling me to love and serve?
Parents can explore the U.S. bishops’ Theology of the Body overview and the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ vocation resources for further learning and family conversation.
Parents are their children’s first educators in the faith. Our role is to support that vocation through a strong partnership between the home, school, and parish.
All Saints School parents are warmly invited to participate in our parish Parent Faith Formation opportunities. These gatherings offer Catholic teaching, prayer, conversation, and practical ways to bring faith into family life. Parents do not need to have every answer—or have children enrolled in the Wednesday evening Sanctify program—to participate.
Together, we can help our children see that faith belongs not only in a religion classroom, but also at the dinner table, in our relationships, in our choices, and in the way we serve others.
